Our Yearly Highlights

Lavender Hill Clothing Yearly Highlights 2021

It’s been quite a year here at Lavender Hill, and we wanted to capture all the exciting moments we’ve had in one place!

First of all, we’ve had lots of exciting press coverage! From being named in The Times’ 30 Best Sustainable Fashion brands to being featured in The Telegraph and the Daily Mail, we’ve very much enjoyed seeing the word spread about the importance of sustainability in the fashion pages. We also loved seeing the likes of Sadiq Khan, Liz Earle and influencer Niomi Smart wearing our pieces this year!

We also managed to visit our Portuguese factory despite the ongoing chaos of 2021, and had the pleasure of seeing some of the lovely people who carefully and skilfully make our pieces.

Another fantastic happening this year was becoming a member of Terra Carta, launched by HRH The Prince of Wales via the Sustainable Markets Initiative. The Terra Carta provides a roadmap to 2030 for businesses to move towards an ambitious and sustainable future; one that will harness the power of nature combined with the transformative power, innovation and resources of the private sector.

We were proud to collaborate with Thrift+ in September, a company that was founded on the belief that charity shoppers deserve the same quality shopping experience as regular shoppers (if not better!). We included a Thrift+ bag with every order in September, meaning our customers could fill it up with unwanted items from their wardrobes to give them a loving new home.

After working closely with the Katherine Low Settlement at the beginning of the pandemic, donating over 20,000 reusable face masks to vulnerable people, we’ve continued to help the cause this year.

We’re very much looking forward to seeing what 2022 brings our way!
